The Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) is the world's busiest bus terminal. It occupies one of the most prominent sites in midtown Manhattan.
Each day, approximately 200,000 people pass through the terminal, providing retailers with a prime opportunity to offer their products and services to a growing, increasingly affluent audience.

Situated between 40th and 42nd streets, from Eighth to Ninth Avenue, the PABT is close to many of
Manhattan's prime residential and office areas including:

Floor Plans
The layout of the facility is highly conducive to generating store traffic. After arriving at their respective
gates, passengers must pass by rows of stores before exiting to the street or subway, frequently passing through two or
three concourses before reaching the street or subway levels.

Au Bon Pain has been growing at the PABT for over a decade. With stores on the subway and main levels of the bus terminal, the chain describes the bus terminal as home to one of its most successful New York City operations.
Auntie Anne's, the 42-state specialty pretzel chain, opened a highly successful store on the Main Level of South Wing in 2003. Their PABT location provided the company with the opportunity to expand their menu offerings to include breakfast items.
Duane Reade, a tenant for more than a decade, relocated and expanded its PABT presence in 2001. Offering a wide variety of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, health and beauty items, cosmetics and photo supplies, the store operates a 24 hours day/7 days per week.
General Nutrition Centers (GNC), the largest global specialty retailer of nutritional supplements, has been carrying on its commitment to quality at the PABT for more than a decade.
Hudson News and Booksellers operates kiosks throughout the world's busiest bus terminal. Over the years, Hudson News has expanded its product line and number of PABT outlets to include books, souvenirs and other items for long distance and local travelers, and a business service center.
Jamba Juice, with over 500 stores nationwide, began serving up delicious, nutritious, energizing smoothies and juices at the PABT in April 2006.
Metro Marché opened a full-service restaurant on the 8th Avenue side of the South Wing Main Entrance to the PABT in October 2006. This French bistro offers both table and take-out service. The owner of this establishment currently operates five highly successful restaurants in New York City.
Radio Shack, one of the largest consumer electronics specialty retailers in North America, has been flourishing at the PABT since the 1990's.
Strawberry, the thriving chain of women's apparel and accessory retailers, labels its PABT store one of its best locations.
Villa Enterprises, which operates 300 stores in 38 states and four countries, has been at the PABT since 1998. The company currently operates two eateries - Villa Pizza and Casa Java - at the terminal. Casa Java recently renovated their PABT outlet to better serve its growing customer base.

Big Bowl, the largest bowling chain in Scandinavia, has selected the PABT as its first US location. The chain will renovate and expand the terminal's existing bowling alley into a bowling alley and entertainment center with a full-service restaurant.
